Infrasolve Increases Breadth of Software Asset Management Offering Dated 16, April, 2007

Infrasolve are pleased to announce that Steven Davison has joined the company as Software Asset Management (SAM) Practice Manager.

Since 2001, Infrasolve has provided SAM services around its technical portfolio. However, recent market demands have created the need for a separate, highly focussed SAM Practice. The SAM Practice will focus on three main offerings; Consulting Services, ISO/ITIL SAM training and Risk & Audit. More information on these offerings can be found on www.infrasolve.com

Steven brings to Infrasolve a wealth of SAM experience - being one of only a small number of practitioners that has worked at granular level with SAM. Initially starting his SAM career with the Federation Against Software Theft (FAST) 10 years ago, Steven was responsible for producing the original FAST Audit Certification standard and subsequently aiding hundreds of organizations with software asset management.

Aside from Steven’s daily duties within Infrasolve he also sits on the ISO 19770-1 UK working group and the British Computing Society’s ISEB SAM ITIL Foundation and Practitioner course working group. Steven also acts as a Lead lecturer for both the SAM ITIL Foundation and Practitioners courses.

Given Infrasolve consultants' extensive and deep SAM knowledge, we will be able to provide our clients with end to end SAM subject matter consultancy that can be wrapped around any standard or certification e.g. FAST, ITIL or ISO 19770-1. This in essence will separate us from current vendors entering the SAM market that typically base their services around licence management - a very linear approach and not conducive to producing credible and sustainable SAM programmes”
